Francesc Macià stop
At the Francesc Macià stop you can decide whether to explore the tranquil and distinguished district of Sarrià, cross Les Corts to enjoy the Camp Nou Experience or continue along the most commercial section of Avinguda Diagonal and stroll through the left-hand side of the Eixample district.
Meeting point of the Eixample, Les Corts and Sarrià districts
If you opt to become better acquainted with the Sarrià district, we recommend you start with a stroll along Avinguda de Pau Casals, which leads you to Turó Park, a green space full of lush plant life where sculptures pay homage to Catalan poets and musicians. Just a few streets away is the Palau del Marquès d’Alella, a building designed in the Noucentista style by Enric Sagnier surrounded by a charming gardened area that is open to visitors.
You can also take a pleasant stroll along Avinguda de Josep Tarradellas, which connects Plaça de Francesc Macià to Plaça de Sants and the railway station and marks the border between the districts of Les Corts and the Eixample. The section of Avinguda Diagonal between Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça de Francesc Macià has recently been improved and its pavements widened to enhance the pedestrian experience.
