Carrer del Parlament

Hola Barcelona, your travel solution

In recent years, Sant Antoni has become one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in Barcelona. The reopening of its market, the fact that it is next to such a lively neighbourhood as the Raval and, at the same time, preserves the spirit of the traditional neighbourhood, have made it one of the best conglomerations of streets, among which Carrer del Parlament stands out.

Why visit Carrer del Parlament?

Carrer del Parlament links Ronda de Sant Antoni with Avinguda del Paral·lel, in other words, the neighbourhoods of Raval and Poble-sec. On this long, traffic-calmed stretch you can lose yourself among the wide range of restaurants on offer. Having a vermouth, a brunch or a good dinner is the done thing here. The city's trendiest bars, some of them New York-inspired, are undoubtedly to be found on this street.

Here you can find traditional bars alongside others with a distinctly hipster, modern feel, as well as bookshops, cake shops, wine bars and tapas bars, possibly some of the best in the city.

How do I get to Carrer del Parlament?

Follow Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes on foot in the direction of Plaça d’Espanya until you come to carrer de Comte Borrell. Walk down it for five blocks until you come to Carrer del Parlament.

For the more curious

  • Did you know? El Federal was the first bar of this new wave to open in the neighbourhood. It is owned by two Australians who were inspired by the bistros of Sydney.
  • Local's tip: On Sundays, after browsing the second-hand bargains at the Sant Antoni Market, it's the ideal place to go for a vermouth.
  • A must to: Eat and drink in some of the city's most modern and well-established vermouth bars and discover authentic Barcelona spots.
