Why take the Montjuïc cable car?
The cable car is the most spectacular and comfortable way of reaching Montjuïc Castle and enjoying the mountain’s tourist attractions. The Montjuïc Cable Car has three stations:
- Parc de Montjuïc: From this station you can visit the main cultural centres on Montjuïc Mountain, like Fundació Miró, the National Art Museum of Catalonia, Poble Espanyol and Barcelona Ethnological Museum. You can also visit one of the most symbolic zones of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games: The Olympic Ring and the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum.
- Castell: The city’s old military fortress, which dates back to 1640 and now plays host to cultural activities.
- Mirador: A terrace with gardens where you can enjoy an incredible view of the port of Barcelona. At this stop you can also visit the Mossèn Costa i Llobera Gardens.

On the Red Route of Barcelona Bus Turístic hop off at the Telefèric de Montjuïc stop.

- Did you know? The cable car rises some 85 metres and can carry 2,000 people per hour.
